Bahār-e Jān-Fizā
Bahār-e jān-fizā tum ho, nasīm-e gulistān tum ho
Bahār-e bāgh-e Rizwān tum se hai, zaib-e jinān tum ho
English Translation:
You are the life-giving spring, the gentle breeze of the gardens.
The spring of the gardens of heaven is from you; you are the adornment of eternal bliss.
Roman Urdu Translation:
Aap woh bahār hain jo zindagī bakhshne wālī hawā hain;
aap hi bāghon kī subah kī nasīm hain.
Jannat ke bāghon kī bahār aap se hai,
aur abadī ni‘maton kī zeenat bhi aap hi hain.
Khudā kī Saltanat
Khudā kī saltanat kā do-jahāṅ meṅ kaun dūlhā hai,
Tumhīṅ, tum ho, tumhīṅ, tum ho, yahāṅ tum ho, wahāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
Who is the groom in the kingdom of God?
It is You! It is You! Here You are, and there You are!
Roman Urdu Translation:
Khudā kī saltanat mein do jahānon ka dūlhā kaun hai?
Woh aap hi hain! yahāṅ bhi aap, wahāṅ bhi aap!
Haqīqat-e Muqaddas
Haqīqat se tumhārī juz Khudā aur kaun wāqif hai,
Kahe tu kyā kahe ko’ī, chunīṅ tum ho, chunāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
Other than God, who knows your reality?
What can anyone say — you are this and you are that!
Roman Urdu Translation:
Khudā ke siwā aap kī haqīqat ko kaun jānta hai?
Jo kuch kaha jaye, aap yeh bhi hain aur woh bhi hain.
Har ‘Ālam kī Bahār
Nazar ‘ārif kā har ‘ālam meṅ āyā aap kā ‘ālam,
Na hote tum to kyā hotā, bahār-e har jahāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
In every world seen by the knower, your world appeared.
If you were not, what would have been? You are the spring of all worlds.
Roman Urdu Translation:
‘Ārif kī nazar ko har ‘ālam mein aap hī ka ‘ālam nazar aaya;
agar aap na hote to phir kya hotā — har jahān kī bahār aap hi hain.
Bandagi aur Adab
Kujā hum khāk-uftādah, kujā tum ai shah-e bālā,
Agar misl-e zamīn hum haiṅ, to misl-e āsmāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
Where are we, fallen like dust, and where are you, O exalted king.
If we are like the earth, then you are like the sky.
Roman Urdu Translation:
Hum kahan, khaak mein gire hue, aur aap kahan, ai buland shāh;
agar hum zameen jaise hain, to aap āsmān jaise hain.
Tashbīh se Paak
Yeh kyā maine kahā misl-e samā tum ho ma‘āzAllāh,
Munazzah misl se, bartar ze har weham-o gumāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
What have I said — that you are like the sky, God forbid!
You are beyond likeness, above all thought and imagination.
Roman Urdu Translation:
Yeh kehna bhi ghalat hai ke aap āsmān jaise hain — ma‘āzAllāh;
aap har tashbīh se paak aur har weham se bartar hain.
Rif‘at aur ‘Ajz
Maiṅ bhūlā aap kī rif‘at se nisbat hī hameṅ kyā hai,
Woh kehne bhar kī nisbat thī, kahāṅ hum haiṅ kahāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
I forgot what relation we could have with your exaltedness.
It was only for saying — where are we and where are you!
Roman Urdu Translation:
Main bhool gayā ke aap kī bulandī se hamārī nisbat hī kya;
woh sirf kehne kī baat thī — kahan hum, aur kahan aap!
Umeed-e Qiyāmat
Hameṅ ummīd hai roz-e qiyāmat un kī rehmat se,
Ke farmā’eṅ idhar ā’ō na-māyūs az-jināṅ tum ho
English Translation:
We hope, by his mercy on the Day of Judgment,
that he will say: “Come here, do not despair of heaven.”
Roman Urdu Translation:
Hamein qiyāmat ke din un kī rehmat se umeed hai;
ke farmāyenge: “Idhar ā jao, jannat se mayoos na ho.”
Dāman-e Rehmat
Sitam kāro, khatā kāro, siyāh kāro, jafā kāro,
Hamāre dāman-e rehmat meṅ ā jā’ō, kahāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
O sinners, wrongdoers, transgressors —
come into our cloak of mercy; where are you?
Roman Urdu Translation:
Aye gunāhgāro aur zulm karne wālo,
hamārī rehmat ke dāman mein ā jao — tum kahan ho?
Shafā‘at
Tumhāre hote sāte dard-o dukh kis se kahūṅ pyāre,
Shafī‘-e ‘āṣiyāṅ tum ho, wakīl-e mujrimāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
With you present, to whom should I tell my pain?
You are the intercessor for sinners and the advocate for the guilty.
Roman Urdu Translation:
Jab aap maujood hain to main apne gham kis se kahoon;
gunāhgāron ke shafī‘ aur mujrimōn ke wakīl aap hi hain.
Jawānī aur Riyāzat
Riyāzat ke yahī din haiṅ burhāpe meṅ kahāṅ himmat,
Jo kuch karnā hai abhi kar lo, abhī Nūrī jawāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
These are the days for striving; in old age where is the strength?
Whatever you must do, do it now — O Noori, you are still young.
Roman Urdu Translation:
Mujāhida aur mehnat ke yehī din hain; burhāpe mein taqat kahan;
jo kuch karna hai abhi kar lo, ai Noori, abhi tum jawān ho.
Du‘ā-e Nūr
Faqat nisbat kā jaisā hūṅ haqīqī Nūrī ho jā’ūṅ,
Mujhe jo dekhe keh uṭhe: miyāṅ Nūrī, miyāṅ tum ho
English Translation:
Though Noori only by relation, may I become truly Noori,
so whoever sees me says: “Miyan, you are Noori!”
Roman Urdu Translation:
Main sirf nisbat ke taur par Noori hoon; du‘ā hai haqīqatan bhi Noori ban jaoon,
taake jo mujhe dekhe keh uthe: “Miyān! Noori Miyān to tum ho!”
